Suspended Chord

What is suspended chord? Let’s see, suspended chord is musical chord which is the third note turned into the 4th or 2nd. Suspended chord has the sound of open sound.
Suspended chord used in many rock song. So if you looking for alternative sound for your music, you can this chord.
So let’s see how the suspended chord shaped.


Suspended chord set of notes are :
Sus2 : 1(root) 2 5
Sus4 : 1(root) 4 5

Let’s say you want to play Asus chord.
Sus2 : A B E
Sus4 : A D E

You already know the A major chord right? If you don’t, read Major and Minor Chord.
On the Asus2 all you need to is turn 3rd note to Whole step down or two fret down and let it open on open B string. So from A major chord (1-3-5) into Asus2 chord (1-2-5),

On the Asus4 what you do is turn the 3rd note to Half step up or one fret up, and the third will become to 4th note (D). So from A major chord (1-3-5) into Asus4 chord (1-4-5).
